How to Take Your Dream Vacation!*
I know it’s February 2024, but 2025 is already on everyone’s mind in the travel industry.
Disney broke from tradition and announced yesterday that the 2025 Walt Disney World Resort Packages and tickets are scheduled to go on sale TODAY. As you read this email, they’re already on sale.
Those of us in the travel industry expected 2025 Disney travel packages to go on sale in May or June, so this is a major change in strategy.
It might surprise you to know that Disney is not alone in this trend.
You probably can’t book 2025 reservations at your local Marriott or Hilton just yet, but if you want to book an All Inclusive Resort like Sandals . . . they’re already taking reservations for 2026 right now.
Many cruise lines like Celebrity, Princess, Windstar, and Viking also have published sailings through 2026.
The travel industry is not moving toward advanced planning. It has already moved and if you’re a planner, then you can take advantage of this trend!
Here are three reasons to book your 2025 vacations right now:
The high end products are the most in demand, and they sell out the fastest. At Disney, we’re talking about the monorail resorts. If you can book now, you have the greatest chance at getting exactly what you want.
You can book a more luxurious trip because you have more time to make payments throughout the year. Think about how convenient it could be to direct your tax refunds and bonuses toward a vacation you already have planned. Here’s where we can talk about those vacation dreams that you might consider a stretch.
If you’re using a travel agent, you have all the time in the world to pepper them with questions about your trip. I love it when clients ask me obscure questions and send me on wild research trips.
Those are good reasons, and here’s a bonus – you can usually still take advantage of promotions if vendors (like Disney) offer deals in the future. For Disney, it is as simple as modifying the reservation. We can go through those options when discussing your individual trip.
