The Best of Greece
- Updated: April 2, 2026
The idea of traveling to Greece has captured the hearts and minds of travelers for generations. Consisting of both mainland Europe and mediterranean islands, Greece packs a lot into one vacation. Here you can experience iconic buildings, ancient history, unique foods, and some of the best beaches on the planet. This combination makes Greece one of the most diverse vacation experiences possible. Where else can you wander through ancient architecture in the morning and spend the afternoon at a world class beach?
Only in Greece can you do all those things, and that’s why I’ve selected Greece group travel opportunity in 2027. When I started to think about how I want to visit the islands of Mykonos and Santorini as well as spending some quality time in Athens, I quickly got frustrated with the idea of spending my entire vacation lugging my suitcase from place to place. To address that concern, I went in search of a cruise. But I will not settle for just any cruise, I want a premium experience on a line I can trust. A line that seamlessly blends the quality of the destination with the onboard experience. I want THE BEST OF GREECE and THE BEST OF THE CRUISE INDUSTRY in one vacation, and if there is one thing I know to be true, it is that NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO CELEBRITY!
Below you’ll learn about some of the key Grecian cities and the various activities each offers. Ready to sign up for the cruise, click any of the images or here to go to the trip landing page (or just contact Ryan by email or phone.

🇬🇷 Athens – Where the Trip Begins
Athens is where it all begins… and it does not ease you in gently.
You’re standing on the Acropolis looking at the Parthenon thinking, “This thing has been here for 2,500 years… and I’m just casually walking around it.”
Then you wander into Plaka, grab a table under a vine-covered terrace, and suddenly you’re having one of those meals where time just… slows down.
And here’s the thing I love about Athens… it sneaks up on you.
One minute you’re exploring ancient ruins, the next you’re riding a funicular up Mount Lycabettus for a panoramic view, and then somehow you’re at an open-air movie theater at night with the smell of jasmine in the air.
Not a bad way to start the trip.
✔️ Athens Checklist
☐ Visit the Acropolis of Athens
☐ Walk the Streets of Plaka
☐ Ride the Funicular to the Summit of Mount Lycabettus
☐ Shop for Bargains in Monastiraki
☐ Run Around the Kallimarmaro Stadium
☐ Unwind by the Beach in Glyfada
☐ Learn the Legend of the Temple of Poseidon
☐ Learn the Story of Pheidippides
☐ Take a Dip in Mysterious Lake Vouliagmeni
☐ Visit an Open Air Theater
🇬🇷 MYKONOS – Where Things Get a Little… Spicy
Alright… Athens was your history lesson.
Mykonos? This is where the trip turns into a vibe.
You’ve got Little Venice where the buildings sit right on the water, drinks in hand, windmills in the background, and it feels like you stepped into a postcard.
But then you’ve also got beach clubs where the music starts before lunch and doesn’t really stop.
And here’s the beauty of Mykonos, you can choose your pace.
You can chill with a drink by the sea or hop a water taxi and slowly work your way into “how did we end up here?” territory.
✔️ Mykonos Checklist
☐ Unwind in Little Venice, Mykonos
☐ Visit the Outrageous Beaches of Mykonos
☐ See the Ruins of Delos, near Mykonos
☐ Dive Into the Tragonisi Caverns, Mykonos
🌋 SANTORINI – The “This Is Why I Booked This Trip” Moment
Let’s be honest.
This is the stop everyone circles.
Santorini is one of those rare places that actually lives up to the hype.
You get to Oia, see the blue domes, the cliffs, the water. It is exactly what you hoped it would be.
Maybe better.
Then you mix in a winery overlooking the caldera, or a swim at a black sand beach, and suddenly it’s not just a photo stop. It’s an experience you’ll long remember.
This is probably where you get that “I made the right decision booking this trip” feeling.
✔️ Santorini Checklist
☐ Photograph the Blue-Domed Church at Oia, Santorini
☐ Swim on the Black Beach at Perissa
☐ Visit a Winery on Santorini
🏰 RHODES – A Different Kind of Greece
Rhodes feels like someone dropped a medieval movie set into the middle of the Greek islands.
Stone streets. Castle walls. Knights of St. John history.
It’s one of those places where you don’t need a plan. You just start walking.
Then you head to Lindos, climb up to the Acropolis there, and get one of those views where the white buildings spill down toward the sea.
✔️ Rhodes Checklist
☐ Make Like the Knights of St. John in the Old Town, Rhodes
☐ Climb to the Acropolis of Lindos
☐ Wonder at the Valley of the Butterflies
🐴 HYDRA – Slow It All Down
And then . . . Hydra.
No cars. No chaos. No rush.
Just a harbor, some incredible views, and a pace that feels completely different from everything else you’ve done.
This is where you take a breath.
Maybe walk along the coast. Maybe do a horseback ride. Maybe just grab a long lunch by the water and soak it all in.
It’s the perfect final slice of the trip.
✔️ Hydra Checklist
☐ Take a Horseback Ride on Hydra

I will find my way. I can go the distance. I’ll be there someday if I can be strong. I know every mile will be worth my while. I would go most anywhere to feel like I belong. – Disney’s Hercules
